Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen deliver F1 future updates

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen both addressed their futures in Formula 1 on media day ahead of this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix, as Fernando Alonso voiced his frustration at the power unit regulations.

F1’s likely switch to a 60/40 power unit split was a major talking point in Montreal, with Verstappen being a fan of it while others, including Alonso, were not. Mercedes are a team with much focus due to its first major upgrades of 2026, while George Russell has insisted he is not under pressure to beat Kimi Antonelli.
