LIVE: Reaction as Russell beats Antonelli again in Canada to secure pole position

Cody Rhodes in

Mercedes enters qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix as the clear favourite for pole position, with its upgrade package working wonders at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

George Russell converted Sprint pole into victory a couple of hours ago, although a scrap with teammate Kimi Antonelli saw the latter finish third, with Lando Norris splitting the pair.

It will have fuelled Antonelli’s desire to beat Russell to pole in Montreal, setting up a fascinating battle within the Silver Arrows camp with rain forecast for race day.

Will it be Russell or Antonelli who claims pole, or can McLaren, Ferrari or even Red Bull Racing spring a surprise?
