Esteban Ocon under investigation after crazy few minutes

Cody Rhodes in

Esteban Ocon is under investigation following a chaotic few minutes during practice ahead of this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix.

The Frenchman endured a frantic final 10 minutes in practice, which saw him spin on the exit of Turn 4 and make heavy contact with the wall.

Ocon’s front wing was left scattered across the circuit, yet he managed to keep the car running and return to the Haas garage.

A brief red flag was required to allow marshals to clear the debris, triggering a flurry of activity at the end of the pit lane.

All drivers were eager to return to the circuit for the final moments once the green flag was shown again, with Ocon potentially exiting the pit lane too late.

He is under investigation for allegedly leaving the pit lane while the red light was illuminated, signalling the end of practice.
