Romain Grosjean makes unique choice ahead of Indy 500

Cody Rhodes in

Romain Grosjean will stand alone should he win this weekend’s 110th running of the Indy 500.

It has become tradition for the winner of the race to drink milk. This dates back to 1936, when Louis Meyer was caught on film drinking a glass of buttermilk following his third victory at the Brickyard.

The custom began in earnest in 1956. Every driver since then who has won the famous race has consumed milk in victory lane. The sole exception was Emerson Fittipaldi in 1993, with the Brazilian opting for a glass of orange juice.

Another tradition is that the choices of the drivers who are due to compete are revealed ahead of the upcoming race.

There are three options available: whole, 2% or skim.

Former F1 driver Grosjean, who will start 24th on the grid for Dale Coyne Racing, is the only driver of the 33 to select skim.

You can check out the choices of the all the drivers below!
